Marketing Intern

Pittsburgh, PA

Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities. They make our neighborhoods fun, vibrant, and livable. At Honeycomb Credit we are passionate about helping small businesses grow by financing the expansion loans they need from their own customers and fans. In just one year, we have already helped numerous small businesses in Pittsburgh including Millie’s Ice Cream, Jenny Lee Swirl Bread, and the Pittsburgh Pickle Company. Now we’re looking to expand across the country to help even more small businesses!

Honeycomb Credit is seeking a summer marketing intern to engage and grow the number of small businesses and local investors on the Honeycomb Credit platform to unlock growth opportunities for small, locally-owned businesses.

About the Internship

As a Marketing Intern, you will have two primary responsibilities. First, create content that keeps Honeycomb’s network of investors updated on the progress of small businesses’ crowdfinancing campaigns on the platform. Second, design, launch, and evaluate original marketing campaigns of your creation with the goal of increasing the number of small businesses launching campaigns on the platform, attracting potential investors to the platform, or both. By increasing investor engagement and attracting growing small businesses to the platform you will help everyday people learn about investment opportunities that spur local growth and help inspiring entrepreneurs realize their vision.

Throughout your internship you will create engaging and effective marketing content that meets strict deadlines. You will work closely with the Honeycomb marketing team and put key marketing principles into practice across multiple platforms including social media, email newsletters, website design, and physical marketing collateral. As a key member of a small team, you will receive the support and autonomy you need to grow as a professional. Throughout the internship, you will have direct access to the founding team and senior management. By the end of the internship you will have improved your design and communication skills, become familiar with the small business lending industry, implemented a marketing campaign of your own creation, and have gained experience working at a high-growth startup.
