Celebration of women-owned businesses at POST
Housed in a historical U.S. postal office building in Detroit’s East Side, POST is an open concept retail & workshop space that carries handmade goods from independent local makers. POST is hosting a celebration of women-owned businesses with pop-up shops, handcrafted product launches, demonstrations, and special sales from 18 local vendors. Shop for your holiday gifts from 10 am-5 pm while enjoying mimosas and refreshments all day!
Small Business Saturday at Downtown Detroit Markets
Start your holiday shopping off right at the Downtown Detroit Markets, hosted by the Downtown Detroit Partnership, Quicken Loans, and Bedrock. This Small Business Saturday, 18 local vendors will be welcoming you to shop at Cadillac Square from 11 am-10 pm, including Awanya, Healthy Roots Dolls, and Lush Yummies Pie Company.
Small Business Saturday Fair at The Detroit Writing Room
The Detroit Writing Room is an event and co-working space in Downtown for writers, entrepreneurs, and business professionals. This year, they’re launching the inaugural Small Business Saturday Fair from 11 am-5 pm with 13 participating local entrepreneurs, ranging from Turkish fashion to vegan desserts to handcrafted art.
Ditch the Mall, Shop Small at the Rust Belt Market
Ferndale’s Rust Belt Market will be offering extended hours for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and the first day of December. Along with their 40+ regular vendors, the Market will be welcoming 20 additional vendors to their event space and pop-up shop venue. These include: minimalist jewelry makers GRAMMAR, eco-conscious pop art brand The Brave Wimp, and small batch apparel brand Outer Spaceways.
Eco-friendly deals at Transient Craft
Ann Arbor founded company Transient Craft designs, dyes, and sews bamboo clothing and specializes in eco-friendly and upcycled products for your next outdoor adventure. Their online deals include 5 tube scarves for $50, a free headband with every $30 purchase, and a “three for” special with a dress, romper, and tube scarf for $100.
Black Business Crawl in Downtown Detroit
The Detroit Civil Rights, Inclusion, and Opportunity Department, Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and the Detroit Branch NAACP are joining forces to host Black Business Crawl 2019 to empower Black communities and Black-owned businesses in Detroit. Pick up a map at any of the 25 participating businesses to enjoy special offers from 10 am-6 pm!

Mogul Life Inc. is a woman-owned photography studio that specializes in small business, fashion, and commercial photography. The Ultimate Small Business Saturday Pop Up by The Ultimate Ladies Night
The Ultimate Ladies Nights, or #THEULN, is an upscale event series centered around engaging and uplifting professional women of color in Detroit. They’re hosting The Ultimate Small Business Saturday Pop Up from 12 pm-5 pm with raffles, swag bags, hot chocolate, cookie decorating, and more! Tickets are $5 or free if you bring a donation of granola, case of water, or another donation for Homeless Not Soulless.
Winter product launches at The Great Lake State
The Great Lakes State is a clothing brand that creates t-shirts, gifts, and accessories for the proud Detroiters and Michiganders in your life. They are releasing a series of new products on Small Business Saturday, including Detroit fleece zip-up hoodies, Michigan fleece crewneck sweatshirts, and Lumberjack knit hats.
Sip & Shop at The Upperow
The Upperow Luxury Fashion House is a new boutique at the New Center Building that offers cut & sew upscale clothing for men, women, and children. This Small Business Saturday, explore the curated collections of the boutique from 11 am-3 pm, while toasting to their first successful month in business.
